Beauty – eye make-up remover

October 3, 2012

This eye make-up remover is new to Ahava’s Time To Clear collection and as you can see, it is an almost two-tone product.
The water-based and oil-based layers lie separate in the bottle (as shown in the first two photographs) until you shake them up a little to mix them. Then it’s simply a case of apply to a cotton pad, hold to your eyes for a moment or two, then gently wipe across. The oil formulation means there’s no drag against the delicate skin around your eyes – yet there’s no greasy feel afterwards. Good stuff.

One thing I would say is you have to be careful not to pour too much product from the bottle – the neck would benefit from one of those stoppers with the tiny aperture to avoid this. Perhaps that’s something Ahava could think about for the future?
Natural ingredients include palm oil as well as aloe vera, cucumber and calendula extracts (soothing, refreshing and anti-puffy). There’s also Dead Sea minerals in there, and it’s paraben and fragrance-free.
Ahava states it is suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers also. Find more information here.
All shook up!

I live in the countryside with my dogs and cat, and I love horses, yoga and running (sometimes). Writing is what I do - I've tried other things, but keep coming back to it. And I'm learning to meditate.
