Alcohol-free life

October 24, 2023

I thought this was fitting for Sober October.

I love bubbles and I’d always been a fizzy wine kind of girl, but then I decided to stop drinking alcohol.

That was more than 2.5 years ago. It wasn’t as difficult as you might expect – thanks largely to the fact I researched going alcohol-free before I took the step so was prepared in advance. I read loads of information, as well as quit lit and factual books such as Alcohol Explained, and I made use of the resources available at Janey Lee Grace’s The Sober Club.Read more

Burt’s Bees lip balm review

October 19, 2022

I’ve been using lip balm for as long as I can remember. It started off with those sticky lip glosses that we were all mad about in the late ‘70s and progressed from there. I live in the countryside with my dogs and cat, and I love horses, yoga and running (sometimes). Writing is what I do - I've tried other things, but keep coming back to it. And I'm learning to meditate.
