It is a sanctuary, it's Redwings Horse Sanctuary in Norfolk. They have lots of donkeys, some mules and of course loads of horses. The sanctuary is open for visitors over the summer and we had a lovely day out there. I will post about it soon. Thanks for your comment!
It is a sanctuary, it's Redwings in Norfolk. They have loads of residents and they do regular tractor/trailer rides around the paddocks for visitors, talking about the various characters who live there. We all got to throw ginger nuts to the donkeys – they love them! Thanks for your comment.
Thanks we had a great day. Redwings have several sancturies and they care for horses, donkeys and mules of all ages, from babies to oldies. They do a fantastic job, taking in abandoned, neglected and mistreated animals, and they survive as do so many charities on donations. I really admire them and recommend a visit. Donkeys are so lovely. There's one there called Denise and she is the boss – I think she has been looked after by people since she was a baby so she sees herself as top of the tree. Thanks for your comment!
I think they are all different ages, but there are lots of them, and a couple of mules too. They look so much like ponies, which really surprised me. Thanks for your comment Fiona!

I love long ears. We have one currently at the rescue I work with, an overweight spotted donkey named Marty. He is definitely everyone's favorite!
