This is my beautiful Christmas poinsettia, which is still looking amazing even though the festive season is long gone now (or so it feels to me anyway). The next image I took using the macro setting on my camera – I’m told it’s better for close-up photographs but I don’t see any difference really. I think I need to read a book on photography and improve my skills. Another thing to add for the list this year.

My dinner, courtesy of Jenny Craig. I have been following this diet for a while now and this is one of my favourites among all the meals included in the hamper, probably because I often make veggie bean chilli myself and have done since I was a student.
As for how much weight has come off… let‘s just say I’m happy with my progress, but that I have a long way to go. Why is it that putting on weight is so easy and happens so quickly, yet taking it off again is so difficult? Alas, that is one of the great questions of life!

A winter view – taken on a funny angle in order to make it more interesting. It seems all I do is walk the dog as my photographs are very similar – well, you’re right, apart from sitting at my desk working (and that doesn’t make for a good photo at all) that is pretty much my life at the moment. Dot is at school – and doesn’t like having her picture taken anyway, the cats refuse to pose and the dog has already appeared in 365 twice (and we’re only mid January)! Tomorrow … my dinner.
